Taman means garden and Ujung means edge. Taman Ujung is indeed a water palace complex surrounded by beautiful garden that was built by the King of Karangasem (one of 9 regencies in Bali, situated in Eastern area) in 1919 which is situated near the coast line. That explains its name. As the result of the eruption of Mt. Agung in 1963, the Palace was severely destroyed. The remaining building now somehow appears to be very artistic, with the beauty of the surrounding garden remains unchanged and don’t forget the view of Mt. Agung and the blue sea from afar. No wonder if this location with its picture perfect scenery became so favored by all Bali professional photographers to shoot their Bali pre wedding photography. What’s good about this place is its artistic view that will perfectly suit to either traditional or modern photo shoot theme. However there’s still some downside to this place, such as its location that needs approximately 2 hours driving from Denpasar (the capital city of Bali Province) and its extremely hot temperature. So we must depart at 5 AM to be there at 7 AM (when the temperature is cooler).
